The expedition launched a communications satellite for the company Globalstar early Sunday morning. SpaceX just completed a remarkable spaceflight tripleheader.


On Sunday (June 19) at 12:27 a.m. EDT (0427 GMT), a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket launched from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, carrying a communications satellite for the Louisiana-based company Globalstar into orbit.


Mike Wall is the author of "Out There" a book about the quest for extraterrestrial life. The rocket's first stage returned to Earth ten minutes after liftoff for a vertical landing on the SpaceX drone ship Just Read The Instructions, which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida. The satellite will be launched into orbit in around 1 hour and 50 minutes if everything goes according to plan. 



It was SpaceX's third mission in less than 36 hours. On Friday (June 17), the business launched 53 Starlink internet satellites from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and on Saturday, it launched a radar satellite for the German military from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California (June 18).
